Terraplane Blues & Taxi Service
Friday, July 4th 7-9pm

Terraplane Blues and Taxi ServiceJohn grew up listening to and absorbing delta blues and ragtime rythms. For the past few years has been playing bluegrass and gypsy dance music. Cy grew up listenig to everything from Johnny Winter and "The Lewis and Clark Expedition" to Parliment and King Sunny Ade, and Frank Zappa. He played bass in bar and party bands for several years taking a decade away from music to raise kids. And has since ’wood-shedded’ for 3-4 years and has been looking for someone who had a closet full of tunes. John wanted to start playing some of the many old school traditional delta blues and rag he had rumbling around in his head. A match made in... well a match made down at the crossroads maybe... we’ll see, hopefully the best is yet to come.

Charlie Barker
Saturday, July 5th 7-9pm

Charlie BarkerA musical product of the Portland culture, Charlie Barker's songwriting combines poignant lyrics with creative rhythms and melody. Playing from a background of acoustic rock, he brings new innovation into a tremendously popular sound. In smaller live venues, Charlie puts on a dynamic performance utilizing digital delay to multiply his voice, which suitably offsets his sometimes-sweet, often hard-hitting guitar accompaniment.

Warren Floyd
Friday, July 11th 7-9pm

Warren FloydWarren is an incredible songwriter with an amazing voice. He also covers rock and roll and folk rock artists from the ‘60's, ‘70's and 80's. His stories, from watching Frankenstein on the late show with Jimmy Buffett and coloring with Dolly Parton, to hanging out with Richie Havens and touring with The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, are as entertaining as the songs they inspired, and prompted singer/songwriter Mare Lennon to quip, "Warren is the Forrest Gump of Folk."

"I wish I wrote songs as nice as yours! Keep it up."
-John McEuen - The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

Sean Garcia
Friday, July 18th 7-9pm

Sean GarciaSean Garcia's authentic talent for both song writing and performing make him a great breath of fresh air in today's overly saturated music industry. Garcia's melodies are unique yet catchy. He possesses a distinct and commanding voice that is powerful enough to fill a venue without a microphone, but as a skilled vocalist, he also has the ability to draw his listeners in just as well with the smooth softer side of his vocals.
The moment Sean strokes his guitar and begins to sing, he lets you into his world. Through his songs, Sean Garcia takes you to a vulnerable place we all experience, where the world we know doesn’t always make sense. Yet, through his music & lyrics you do feel a sense of hope for tomorrow and better days for those who are truly seeking them. Sean's song writing is artistic and classy. Still, you can't help but hear his pop influences just enough to keep the songs stuck in your head. Just enough to leave a lasting impression.
Sean has been performing his brand of indie-acoustic pop around the Portland area for the last year. In that year he has become a regular fixture in downtown coffee shops, bars and book stores. Sean was also runner up in the 2007 Portland Songwriters Association song writing competition. He is a star on the rise that you don't want to miss.

Darren Klein
Saturday, July 19th 7-9pm

Darren KleinMy first musical turn-on came from some old cartoon... I can't remember exactly, but I see Porky Pig as the conductor of an orchestra. He couldn't seem to get the cummerbund on his tux to stay down. Porky was at the podium, and all the instruments would sound on their tuning pitches, and then Porky kicked them into whatever piece it was. What got me the most was the sound of the tuning of the orchestra, and for years I wondered "Who wrote that?"

Linda Daiber

Dale Miller
Saturday, July 26th, 7-9pm

Dale MillerDale Miller plays music. "Therapy for myself" he calls it. In grade school he "borrowed" his older brother's arch-top Kay and began plinking out Kingston Trio songs, moved up through rock and roll bands, did the long hair folk and protest thing, and now writes and plays whatever strikes his fancy. Originally from Spokane, he played the usual high school dances, bars and lounges, folk festivals, and gatherings throughout the northwest. Dale was drafted in 1970 and stayed in Germany, after discharge from the military, playing extensively at US military bases and throughout Europe. Returning to the states he has played the usual haunts in Montana, Idaho, Washington, British Columbia, and of course Oregon.

Described as having an "easy style", Dale enjoys interacting with the audience and engaging guests rather than just chopping out the same old tunes. His style can run the gamut from originals to covers, blues to folk, light pop to bawdy ballads and beyond, and he enjoys the gig as much as everyone else!

"This young lady grabs you with her lyrics and keeps you there with her sound-a mixture of folk, country and blues. If this project is any indication of what we can expect from Ms. Carlson, the folks in Nashville had better sit up and take notice." - Alathea Johnson, Moozikoo.com Staff.

Maverick magazine writes, "Tiffany proves herself to be not just a promising vocalist, but an intelligent and literate writer...A wonderful debut, hopefully not the last we hear from her." -LK
